Juventus vs Torino Predictions
- Juventus have won 15 of the last 18 meetings between these two (D5)
- Torino have lost five of their last six Serie A matches, failing to score in both of the last two
- Dusan Vlahovic, who scored against Lille in midweek, has got six goals in his last 10 Serie A appearances
Adams absence boosts Juve’s derby chances
Juventus can prolong Torino’s 29-year wait for an away derby victory by securing the three points for themselves when the two city rivals meet at Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
Thiago Motta’s men relaunched their Scudetto challenge with a solid 2-0 away win at Udinese last weekend and will again prove hard to break down for Il Toro.
Torino have not won any of the last 20 derbies, losing 15 and drawing five. And they have not scored in four of the last six meetings. Paolo Vanoli’s side look likely to be without their talismanic Scottish striker Che Adams for this clash through injury and his absence only increases the prospects of another Juventus clean sheet. Vanoli could be on borrowed time now after overseeing five league defeats in the last six.
Old Lady can win to nil
The Old Lady boast a formidable defensive record, having conceded only seven times in Serie A this season. Four of those goals came in one epic 4-4 draw with Inter Milan, however, as Juventus have recorded eight shut outs in 11 league games to date.
Torino have failed to score in their last two matches, 1-0 defeats at Roma and at home to Fiorentina. So backing a Juventus win to nil has plenty going for it this weekend.
Dusan Vlahovic, who bagged the Bianconeri’s equaliser from the penalty spot at Lille in midweek, remains a profitable option in anytime goalscorer betting. He has scored six goals in his last 10 Serie A appearances and is available at odds against to net on Saturday in what may be a 2-0 home win.
