Under 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Fewer than three goals have been scored in Lecce’s last three Serie A matches. The home side have scored only one goal all season and may struggle to break down a Parma side bolstered by the return of their first-choice goalkeeper.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Lecce are in better form, but Parma have had some tough matches at the start of the campaign and could have taken more from each. A 1-1 draw may be the way this one falls as Parma will be desperate not to lose and Lecce don’t score enough goals to pull away from them.

Lecce vs Parma Predictions

  • Fewer than three goals have been scored in Lecce’s last three Serie A matches
  • Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki returns from suspension to bolster the visitors’ defence
  • Lecce have scored only one goal all season

Fear factor could rule Lecce-Parma clash

Goals could be scarce when Lecce host Parma in a clash of two clubs desperate to avoid dropping into the bottom six at this early stage of the season.

Newly-promoted Parma have begun the campaign in exciting fashion with plenty of goals at both ends in their game against Fiorentina, SAC Milan, Napoli and Udinese.

But things could change now that they are up against a team likely to be a direct relegation rival and it would be no surprise to see Fabio Pecchia’s side tighten up.

Lecce have deserved more goals than they have got

Lecce have struggled to score many goals this season, managing only one so far, although their expected goals figures are respectable. They will hope the return of Danish winger Patrick Dorgu from suspension can make the difference against the Crociati, who lost 2-1 at Napoli in their last away trip.

Parma will also have first-choice goalkeeper Zion Suzuki back between the posts after he served a one-game ban in their 3-2 home loss to the Zebrette last time out.

Pecchia’s side led 2-0 at half-time in that clash so they will be even keener to plug the defensive holes that cost them dearly a week ago.
