Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Leicester have the Premier League’s worst defensive record but they have only failed to score once this season, while both teams have scored in seven of Crystal Palace’s nine top-flight games.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Crystal Palace are yet to win away from home in the league this season but have only lost to current top four sides. Two of their three away games have ended all square and Leicester have only won once league game all season.

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in 14 of Leicester and Crystal Palace’s 18 combined Premier League games this season.
  • Two of Crystal Palace’s three league away games have ended all square.
  • Wilfried Zaha has scored in three of his last four appearances against the Foxes.

Defence remains an issue for leaky Leicester

An emphatic 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest after the international break had Leicester fans hoping that the tide was turning but after a poor showing in their loss at Bournemouth last weekend they remain bottom of the Premier League table and facing a tough task against Crystal Palance on Saturday.

The Foxes have had no issues finding the net this season, scoring 15 times in nine matches, but they hold the top flight’s worst defensive record and they face a Palace side that have scored in seven of their nine competitive fixtures this term.

Palace prove difficult to beat

Patrick Vieira’s Eagles come into this tie fresh from a comeback win over Leeds last weekend which snapped their four-match winless streak but, with their only away win this season coming in the Carabao Cup, victory on Saturday is by no means assured.

However, while wins on the road may be hard to come by they are not an easy side to beat. Palace’s only losses this season have come against current top-four sides and they have picked up a point in two of their three Premier League trips.

Expect goals at both ends at the King Power Stadium

A winner is tough to pick out but what we can expect is goals at both ends. Both teams have scored in seven of both Leicester’s and Crystal Palace’s nine league games and in each of the last four meetings between these sides, so I’m backing both teams to score along with a third 1-1 draw of the season for the visitors.

Wilfried Zaha is worth considering in the anytime goalscorer market, too. The Ivory Coast international has scored four goals in seven appearances this season and has a fantastic record against Leicester, finding the net in three of his last four appearances against the Foxes.
