Another away defeat for Brest

Lille can be backed to win at home to Brest on Saturday, with the visitors having lost four times in their last six Ligue 1 away games.

They are fifth in Ligue 1, seven places and points above Brest, with ten wins, three draws and eight losses from their 21 games this season. The visitors are in 12th place, having won seven, drawn five and lost nine.

Lille have looked dangerous going forward this season. They have been prolific in front of goal, averaging 2.80 goals a game in their ten Ligue 1 games against bottom-half teams, and scoring an impressive 3.67 goals a game in their three home matches against these sides.

Brest are in a rut. They have not won any of their last three Ligue 1 away games and have failed to win six of their last seven on the road.

The visitors have been leaking goals on their travels, conceding 20 goals in ten away games this season – an average of two goals against per game. Brest have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven straight Ligue 1 games on the road.

A 2-0 home win for Lille looks the best correct-score bet. Six of Lille’s last eight Ligue 1 games have ended with at least one of the sides failing to score, and four of Brest’s nine defeats this season have been by a two-goal margin.
