Both Teams To Score @ 8/13

We use stars to rate our confidence in our tips, with 3 being most confident to 1 being the least.
Draw 1-1 @ 11/2

Reason For Luton vs Cardiff Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in 4 of the last 6 meetings between these two clubs.
  • Both teams have scored in 3 of Luton’s last 4 matches.
  • Both teams have scored in each of Cardiff’s last 5 matches.
  • Cardiff have drawn 4 of their last 6 matches in league and cup.

Luton pick up most of their points at home

Luton lost 2-0 away at West Brom last time out and sit bottom of the Championship table heading into Saturday’s clash, while Cardiff picked up a pint courtesy of a 1-1 draw at home with Reading and occupy 12th place. The visitors head into this weekends’ match as the form favourites as they are unbeaten in their last seven competitive matches, five of which have ended in stalemates.

Luton have lost four of their last six matches in all competitions but have managed to secure five wins and three draws at home in the league, while Cardiff have only won twice on the road and have drawn seven times on their travels, so you can see why we have backed Saturday’s match to end all square. Cardiff’s last three draws have all ended 1-1 and both teams have scored in the visitors last five matches while the same can be said about three of Luton’s last four matches, and we have backed both teams to find the back of the net this weekend.

Cardiff have only managed to win twice on the road

Four of the last six meetings between these two clubs have seen both teams get on the scoreboard and Luton’s last two home games against Cardiff have both ended in draws. The hosts average 1.29 points per home game while the visitors average 0.87 points per away game, which supports our prediction for the points to be shared on Saturday. 47% of Cardiff’s away games have ended in stalemates with the visitors’ scoring an average of 1.33 goals per away game and the hosts scoring an average of 1.64 goals per home game, which backs up our prediction for a 1-1 draw between the pair this weekend.

Both teams have scored in 79% of Luton’s home games and 47% of Cardiff’s away matches, with the hosts only keeping clean sheets in 7% of the matches played in front of their own fans and the visitors managing clean sheets in just 13% of their away games. Luton might not keep many clean sheets but they have only failed to score in 14% of their home games and Cardiff have only failed to score in 20% of their away trips, adding further weight to our prediction for Both teams to score this Saturday.

We’re confident that both teams will score in Saturday’s clash and we have predicted a final scoreline of 1-1 between the pair. Cardiff head into the game as the form favourites and in the midst of an unbeaten run and while Luton sit bottom of the table, the hosts have been at their best at home while the visitors have struggled to win on the road which is why we believe Saturday’s game may well end in a draw.
