Inconsistent hosts to make hard work of it once again

Home comforts have certainly played their part for the hosts given 17 of their total 25 points have been won at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais. But they have only managed one win from their last five in front of their own fans and their inability to keep clean sheets continues to hamper them. They’ve managed just two shutouts at home so far this term and that poor record continues to give travelling sides hope that they can be competitive.

The visitors were the surprise package last season but they have been unable to find any positive consistency. They haven’t won a game since beating Angers away from home back in the early part of October – nine competitive matches ago. They have at least been consistent scorers on their travels having struck the net in seven of their eight road matches, including against PSG.

Goals at both ends looks a likely outcome

The visitors will still feel they can trouble Lyon, but ultimately, neither defence looks resolute and we expect chances for both sides. As such, we’ll side with both teams scoring.
