Maccabi shaping up well

Maccabi Tel Aviv have started the 2022/23 season strongly, losing just once in five matches, although the 2-1 defeat to Aris proved immaterial as they progressed 3-2 on aggregate in the Europa Conference League.

Vladimir Ivić took charge in June, and his side have proved resolute in defence, conceding just one goal and keeping four clean sheets in a row until the weekend.

They have also been incredibly strong at home recently, losing just one of their last 20 matches at Bloomfield Stadium, as well as a sole defeat in nine Europa Conference League clashes at this venue.

Nice up against it?

Nice meanwhile have a shocking European record of late, losing seven of their last eight away games in continental football.
