Manchester City vs Everton Predictions
Manchester City put in yet another poor away performance on Saturday when they had to come from behind twice to get a point at West Ham.
This was just the latest in a long line of failures on the road. Manchester City have only won two of their last nine matches away from home, with four of these being defeats.
One of these defeats was in the Capital One Cup Semi Final first leg when Everton beat them 2-1 thanks to a late goal from the in form Romelu Lukaku. But Everton will be hard pressed to hold on to this lead.
The story is entirely different at the Etihad. Man City have six of their last seven home matches and have only lost once in their last 13 on home turf. They have averaged three goals per game in their last seven outings as well, scoring four goals on four occasions as well.
Everton are really struggling for wins at the moment as well. Their 2-1 defeat to Swansea on Sunday made it just three wins from Everton’s last 11 matches in all competitions, although to be fair they have only lost three times.
Roberto Martinez’ side are pretty difficult to beat, and their away record displays this perfectly. They haven’t lost any of their last seven away days, but five of them have been draws.
Manchester City’s home form is a force to be reckoned with this season, and I don’t think Everton’s one goal advantage will be enough on Wednesday. They are in poor form and the defeat to Swansea will have knocked their confidence further.
This makes odds of 8/11 for Manchester City to Quality look really good value, and I’m also going to back a 3-1 Manchester City win at 10/1.
