Manchester City vs Everton Betting Tips

Manchester City eased through their FA Cup 3^rd Round fixture against Norwich at the weekend, with that 3-0 victory going some way to repairing confidence after they lost the midweek Capital One Cup semi final tie with Everton.

But the Premier League title contenders will be pleased to be back at the Etihad after a run of four away games in a row.

They are much better on home turf as well. They have won their last five home games in a row and have won ten of their last 11 on familiar turf.

Their away form is the only thing keeping them from being top of the Premier League, although they are still only three points off the top spot in 3^rd position.

Everton’s FA Cup win over Dagenham and Redbridge saw Everton win back to back matches for the first time since September. This inconsistent performance sums up a frustrating season for Roberto Martinez.

They have won three of their last five games in all competitions, losing once and drawing once. But four of these five matches have been at Goodison Park. They have only managed two wins in their previous six on the road.

This leaves Everton in a disappointing 11^th place in the Premier League, although they are only six points adrift of a top 5 position.

I fancy Manchester City to come away with all three points from this one, but I’m not expecting Everton to just lie down. Manchester City have conceded in 11 of their last 13 matches in all competitions, and their home record has seen them pick the ball out of their own net in each of their last 13 games.

Everton have been in excellent attacking form too, scoring in each of their last 15 fixtures and scoring 31 goals during this period. This makes odds of 7/4 for a Manchester City Win and Both Teams to Score look excellent value for money, and I’m also going for a 3-1 correct score prediction at 11/1.
