Manchester City vs Sunderland Betting Tips

Manchester City lost a crucial Premier League title tie on Monday night as Arsenal defeated them 2-1 at the Emirates.

This makes it three wins and two defeats in their last five matches in all competitions, results which see them lie in 3^rd position in the Premier League.

They are now six points adrift of top of the table Leicester, four points behind Arsenal in 2^nd, and only three points clear of Spurs, Man United, and Crystal Palace below them.

But the home side will be fairly confident of picking up three points on Boxing Day, as they’re coming up against a sure fire participant in the Premier League relegation zone in Sunderland.

The relegation candidates have lost three matches on the bounce after they threatened to burst back into life a few weeks ago by picking up back to back wins.

But since then they have lost 3-1 to both Arsenal and Chelsea as well as a home defeat to Watford, results which make it ten defeats, three wins, and one draw in their last 14 matches in all competitions.

Sunderland lie second from bottom of the Premier League table coming into this difficult fixture, and the five point gap between them and safety means that even if they win they will remain in the relegation zone.

I’m fully expecting Manchester City to win on Saturday, and the fact that four of their last five victories have been by two or more goals makes me think it could be quite a substantial win for them against Sunderland.

Odds of 1.625 for a Manchester City -1.5 Asian Handicap win look good value for money to me, and I’m also backing a 3-0 correct score prediction at 15/2.
