Manchester United vs CSKA Moscow Betting Tips

Manchester United started the season slowly before finally gelling and putting together a run of good performances and good results.

But the past few weeks have seen their standards slip dramatically. They have only won one of their last six matches and are currently on a four match winless streak.

The last three of these games have all been goalless draws, including the away fixture against CSKA and a penalty loss to Championship side Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup.

This has seen them eliminated from the Capital One Cup alongside slipping down the Premier League table to 4^th position and allowing Wolfsburg to go two points clear at the top of their Champions League group.

CSKA Moscow have no such league worries to think about. They are well clear at the top of the Russian Premier League with 36 points from their opening 14 league games. 2^nd placed Lokomotiv Moscow trail them by nine points already.

They are currently on a five match unbeaten streak and they have only lost one of their last 11 games in all competitions.

Seven of these games have ended in victory for the Russians, and they will be hoping they can get a win at Old Trafford to send themselves up into 2^nd position in the group.

But despite Manchester United’s inability to score at the moment, they are still very difficult to beat at Old Trafford. They haven’t lost at home in normal time since May, and they have won six of their ten games there since.

With Man Utd’s defence looking pretty solid at the moment and their attack failing to find the net, I’m looking towards an Under 2.5 Goals bet. All of their last four matches have ended this way, and CSKA have only seen three goals scored twice in their last five matches.

This makes odds of 19/20 for Under 2.5 Match Goals look very attractive, but I’m also expecting the home side to get a win. A 1-0 victory looks pretty likely to me, and odds of 11/2 look good to me.
