Hosts need to bounce back

Monaco have stuttered in their last two outings after first being dumped out of the Coupe de France by second-tier side Rodez and then required a last-gasp equaliser to salvage a draw away at Lorient, dropping points from a winning position for the sixth time this season. But a return to home soil may be a blessing given they have won five of their last eight competitive matches at this venue.

The visitors are living dangerously and sit just a point above the dreaded dropzone coming into this round of matches. They have lost five of their nine away league matches but they have been consistent when it comes to getting on the scoresheet when travelling to the Fontvieille district and have successfully hit the back of the net in four of their last six visits.

Ajaccio to make Monaco work for the win

Neither side are in blistering form, but Monaco will be desperate to shake off their poor performances in recent matches and will be eyeing a win here. They won’t have it all their own way and do give chances but we think both sides will score and Monaco will prevail.
