Morecambe vs Crewe Predictions
- Both teams have not scored in Morecambe’s last five games
- Both teams have scored in only four of Crewe’s last ten outings
- Morecambe have only scored once in their last five fixtures
Morecambe in free-fall
After a strong start to their first season in League One, Morecambe’s form has tailed away significantly. They come into this game without a win in five league games, and with just one victory in their last twelve.
Stephen Robinson’s side are finding goals a real problem, with nobody able to take some of the burden off Cole Stockton, who is already on to 16 strikes for the season.
The Shrimps have failed to score in their last four league outings, while their only win was a slender 1-0 victory over minnows Buxton in the FA Cup.
Crewe’s struggles continue
Alex sit bottom of League One and head into this fixture without a win in eight away games, but they have equally not been helped by successive postponements that mean they have not played since December 11th.
There is, therefore, a chance they will be a bit rusty before kick-off, and it is also worth noting their significant struggles in front of goal too.
David Artell’s side have scored just seven times in 11 away league games, failing to even hit the back of the net in six of those outings.
This one looks destined to be a bit of a snore-fest. Neither side has had much luck in front of goal, so I predict that both teams will not score, selecting 0-0 as a correct score.
