Canaries to Take Care of The Chairboys
Norwich City are strongly fancied to make it three Championship wins on the spin when they play host to a pointless Wycombe side at Carrow Road this Saturday.
The Canaries have made hard work of things since their demotion to the second tier, but after claiming just four points from their first four matches, Daniel Farke’s side have battled their way to consecutive victories over the past week against Rotherham United (1-2) and Birmingham City (1-0).
City’s efforts to date this term have been a far cry from the free flowing, free-scoring performances that they consistently produced en route to winning the Championship two seasons ago, but those positive results have at least lifted them up to eighth in the table.
They sit just a point shy of the Play-Off places going into this weekend’s round of fixtures and they could well find themselves in the top six come 5pm on Saturday.
A repeat of their last couple of showings should be more than enough to dispatch Wycombe, who remain 23rd in the table after Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at Reading. The Chairboys have lost all six of their Championship matches to date and have scored just one goal, conceding 13.
With Norwich keeping two clean sheets in six including their midweek triumph against The Blues, everything points to a win to nil for City at Carrow Road this Saturday. The visitors aren’t expected to threaten in the slightest and at the rate that Gareth Ainsworth’s men are shipping goals, we’re also tipping up a 2-0 correct score.
