Nottingham Forest vs Fulham Predictions
- Fulham have won eight of their last ten meetings with Forest, including all of the last three
- The Reds are on a six-match winless run which has included four losses
- The Cottagers have scored eight goals in their last four away matches
Faltering Forest face tough Fulham test
Nottingham Forest failed to turn their frustration into a win on Saturday as their rage towards their four-point deduction was not enough to muster up a positive result against Crystal Palace on Saturday as the Eagles held Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to a 1-1 draw.
The Reds now have another chance to create a cauldron-like atmosphere at the City Ground in just a matter of days as they welcome Fulham on Tuesday, but they may struggle to get a result again.
The Cottagers have hit a solid run of form having won three of their last five matches – with the victories in that streak coming against solid sides Manchester United, Brighton and Spurs – and could prove to be too strong for Forest.
Cottagers can take advantage of hosts’ slump
Fulham had to fight back from 3-1 down to rescue a point at basement boys Sheffield United on Saturday, but plenty of positives can be taken from that draw. They racked up 24 shots to the Blades’ eight while also having 74 percent of the possession, and a repeat of that performance would surely blow Nottingham Forest away.
The Tricky Trees have found points difficult to come by recently as they are in the midst of a six-match winless streak that has seen them take just two points from their last 18 available, and the history of this fixture does not bode well for Santo’s men either.
Fulham have won eight of the last ten meetings, including all of the last three, and Marco Silva’s men crushed the Reds in December’s reverse fixture, running out 5-0 victors before Christmas.
The City Ground has been a happy hunting ground for the Cottagers in that run too as they have avoided defeat in their last five matches on Forest’s patch in a run dating back to 2015, suggesting they should have enough to take at least a point back to the capital on Tuesday night.
It would be no surprise to see Fulham take all three points given Forest have lost seven of their last ten home games, but the Reds have drawn their last two matches and will be buoyed at least somewhat by a raucous atmosphere, so covering a sharing of the points with the draw no bet market could be a smart move.
Visitors’ scoring streak set to continue
Scoring goals has been a big problem for Forest under Santo, with the Reds mustering up just four goals in their six-match winless run and only two in their last five games.
