Orgryte IS To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Orgryte won their last home league game 3-0 against mid-table Gefle while bottom club Sundsvall have lost all five of their Superettan away fixtures, failing to score in four. Sundsvall coach Ion Doros is reportedly under pressure to pick younger players and they may lack the experience to cope on the road again.

Orgryte IS 3-0

Reason for tip

Sundsvall have lost all five of their away league games and taken only one point from the last 18 available, while a change of coach has only added to the confusion at the club. They look ripe for a defeat and another shut out this Friday from a Orgryte team that will take confidence from their recent 3-0 home win over Gefle. Another 3-0 scoreline could be on the cards with Sundsvall having shipped three goals in each of their last two fixtures.

Orgryte IS vs Gif Sundsvall Predictions

  • Orgryte won their last home league game 3-0 against mid-table Gefle
  • Rock-bottom Sundsvall have lost all five of their Superettan away fixtures, failing to score in four
  • Sundsvall coach Ion Doros is reportedly under pressure to pick younger players

Orgryte can kick on after solid home win

Friday night’s Superettan trip to Gothenburg to face Orgryte will be a tough one for basement club Sundsvall, despite only two places and one point separating the clubs.

The home side tasted victory last time out and will be looking to kick on from a solid 3-0 home win over mid-table Gefle.

But Sundsvall remain without a point from five away fixtures this season and collapsed to a 3-1 defeat after taking the lead at home to Helsingborg in their last match.

Daunting task for Doros

It was a tough baptism for new coach Ion Doros, who stepped up from his former job as assistant boss after Douglas Jakobssen left to take the number two role at Hammarby.

Doros is younger than some of his players at 28, although the Spaniard appears to be under pressure from above to favour youngsters right now with at least two senior players rumoured to be heading elsewhere during the summer transfer window.

Sundsvall’s lack of experience on the pitch is evident in their results, particularly on the road, and they should be opposed again this weekend. Another Orgryte win to nil could be possible with the hosts looking for a second clean sheet in a row and the visitors having been shut out in four of their five previous away contests.
