PSG looking to extend perfect start
Paris Saint-Germain have made a 100% start to their Ligue 1 title defence with three wins in as many games and they will be looking to extend that streak with victory over visitors Lens on Sunday.
The visitors arrive in decent form themselves after back-to-back wins and they can make this game competitive, but ultimately a PSG win should be expected as they have won seven of their last eight home league games stretching back into last season.
The hosts are the clear favourites so the best value angle here could be backing a home win with both teams to score. These sides met three times last season and Lens scored in the last two clashes, while they have hit five goals across their last two games.
PSG started the season with consecutive 1-0 wins but conceded three in a 6-3 win at Toulouse last time out. The champions were 4-0 up before they conceded the first goal and Toulouse struck twice late on, but that still shows PSG’s backline can be vulnerable and Lens have enough quality to at least grab a consolation effort.
A 3-1 home win has a chance in the correct score market, potentially with a late goal to wrap things up for PSG, as they have won by a two-goal margin in four of the last six Ligue 1 games between these two sides.
With Ousmane Dembele set for a stint on the sidelines after picking up an injury on international duty, fellow France forward Bradley Barcola stands out as a potential scorer for PSG. Barcola scored in the win over Toulouse and was also on target over the international break so he comes into this game in form.
