We’re only in February, but these two sides are gearing up for a fourth meeting of the season. Unless they’re paired together in the Champions League, this is their final contest of the campaign. A European double-header would be good news, as clashes between the two have been wide open so far.

Not only have league leaders Real failed to win any of their three meetings with Atletico this term, but all of those clashes have been high-scoring. Atletico won 3-1 in the first league clash of the season, while the pair met twice just last month. The first saw them go head-to-head in Saudi Arabia in the Super Cup, with Real winning 5-3 in extra-time after scoring a late equaliser in normal time to make it 3-3.

Atletico had the better of the second clash, with the pair drawing 2-2 before Diego Simeone’s side won 4-2 in extra-time. Given those wide-open games and the fact the pair have scored a combined 91 league goals already this term, another high-scoring match looks to be on the cards.

One man to watch is Antoine Greizmann, who has scored seven winning goals in La Liga this season, the most of any player. He’s hit 18 goals across all competitions and has five in 10 league trips. On top of that, the Frenchman has scored in all three meetings with Real this season, so he’s well priced to score anytime.
