Easy three points for Sociedad?

If Real Sociedad are to have any hope of reaching the top four this season, they should be winning this game at a canter, and their recent form suggests they will pick up the three points here.

Imanol Alguacil’s side are unbeaten in four at home, keeping a clean sheet on each occasion, while they have conceded only six goals in 13 league matches at Estadio Municipal de Anoeta.

Their two home defeats have come at the hands of top four rivals Real Madrid and Villarreal, and in fact they have not conceded a single home goal to a team in the bottom half of La Liga.

Alaves deep in trouble

Alaves are three points from safety, and their dreadful away record of one win from 13 attempts, losing nine times, is a large factor in their lowly position.

José Luis Mendilibar’s side have been defeated in six of their last seven on their travels, failing to score in three of those games, while their only victory came against relegation threatened Cadiz.

Indeed, they have picked up just two points on the road against teams in the top half of the table, and it is tough to see them winning this one.

I predict that Real Sociedad will win without both teams scoring, selecting 2-0 to the hosts as a correct score prediction.
