Sampdoria vs Juventus Predictions
Juventus are on an eight-game winning streak and it’s hardly believable, but they are now prime favourites to win Serie A. Based on current form, it’s completely conceivable that Juventus could still run away with the Italian title for a second straight season even after their poor start. Of course, Juventus will lose at some point and they opened up their 2016 account with a convincing and thumping 3-0 thrashing of Verona.
It’s hard to believe that Sampdoria will be the club that halts Juventus’ run, though they did pick up a crucial 3-2 away win over Genoa. That victory moved them up to 13th in the table and combined with their 2-0 pre-break victory over Palermo, they’re suddenly on a mini-three game winning streak.
Sampdoria’s improved defensive resilience will be challenged by Juventus’ remarkably improved attacking performances. Juventus went from being offensively inept to being an incredibly effective unit. They’ve found a way to free up Paul Pogba and this now suddenly seems like a deeper and more effective squad than the one spearheaded by Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez.
Three Reasons for Betting Tips
1. Worth a big stake bet
Juventus’ form has been just so good and they look like such a well-balanced and dominant unit right now, they’re not going to run out on a 20-game winning streak, but we’ll take our chances on a relatively large stake against Sampdoria.
2. Sampdoria’s defensive challenges
They’ve played a couple of very effective games, but we still think that Sampdoria’s overall defensive structure will be tested and ultimately exposed in a match-up with Juventus.
3. Asian Handicap and Over Goals not great options
The alternative to a straight forward “to win” bet would be the Asian Handicap or Over 2.5 markets, but neither provides a good opportunity in terms of odds or probability on this occasion.
