Sheffield United continued their good form on Boxing Day as they beat Oldham with a degree of comfort in front of a home crowd. This match against a Northampton side who’ve struggled for consistency this season looks another good opportunity for the home side to keep going in the right direction.

The bet to be on here is ‘Half with Most Goals – Second”. Although it would be a surprise if Sheffield United failed to win here, they are fancied to do most of their damage after the break – something that has often occurred of late.

Although the hosts have been dominating teams at home lately, they haven’t scored too many early goals and, considering Northampton are likely to come here and defend, they might struggle to do so once more.

It’s pretty obvious that Northampton will come to Bramall Lane with the primary target of containing the hosts. With this in mind, the goals in this one are likely to arrive later rather than sooner, especially if recent matches are anything to go by.
