Sheffield Wednesday vs Watford Predictions

  • Sheffield Wednesday have scored in 12 of their previous 14 games
  • Both teams have scored in each of Watford’s last 13 matches
  • Four of Watford’s last six matches have ended in draws

Two teams that are amongst the goals

Despite finding themselves in the Championship relegation zone, Sheffield Wednesday have been improving under manager Danny Rohl, winning six of their last 12 games across all competitions.

Scoring goals has also become less of an issue for the Owls, who have netted in 12 of their previous 14 games, although they are still conceding regularly, registering just four clean-sheets in 19 matches under their German coach.

Watford have been similarly entertaining of late, as the Hornets have both scored and conceded in each of their last 13 games, last failing to find the back of the net against league leaders Leicester in November.

Familiar outcome on the cards

Watford have drawn four of their last six matches in league and cup, including their most recent two fixtures against Bristol City in the league and Southampton in the FA Cup.

Wednesday also shared the spoils in their cup clash with Coventry, which finished 1-1 on Friday night, and their two draws since Rohl’s appointment in the middle of October have seen both teams score.

With goals on the agenda Hillsborough, this could end in a high-scoring and entertaining 2-2.
