Sligo Rovers vs FH Hafnarfjordur Predictions
BETTING TIP – SLIGO ROVERS TO WIN
CORRECT SCORE PREDICTION – 2-0 SLIGO ROVERS
- Sligo Rovers have won three of their last four home games.
- FH have lost their last four away games, the last three without scoring a goal.
- The first leg was heading for a 0-0 until Greg Bolger was sent off.
Rovers to return to winning ways at home
Sligo Rovers host FH Hafnarfjordur in the second leg of their Europa Conference League qualifying tie at The Showgrounds on Thursday evening.
The Bit O’Red came close to returning from Iceland with a fine result last week only for the match to slip away from them in the last 15 minutes.
Greg Bolger’s sending off for a silly second booking (simulation in box) preceded a winner from the hosts’ ex-Dundalk playmaker Steven Lennon with five minutes to go.
Rovers captain Bolger will now miss the return clash with a suspension, but Liam Buckley should have more at his disposal after first-choice keeper Ed McGinty and striker Johnny Kenny missed the first leg.
FH, tenth in the 12-team Icelandic top-flight, have an abysmal record away from home with four straight defeats on their travels since the end of May.
They haven’t won any of their last seven league games and will travel to the Showgrounds with little confidence other than what they took from last week’s win.
Sligo Rovers will look to overturn the deficit by going for goals and ten in their last four Irish Premier Division games suggest they are capable of doing it.
We’re taking the Bit O’Red to ensure their passage with a 2-0 scoreline and with the outright price on the hosts’ approaching even money are happy to keep things simple with a bet on Rovers to win.
