Sporting Cristal vs Barcelona Sc Predictions
- Both teams have scored in Sporting Cristal’s last 4 home games.
- Sporting Cristal have found the net at least once in 19 consecutive home matches.
- Barcelona have won 3 of their last 4 Copa Libertadores away games.
Sporting Cristal are all but out
Whilst they came into this tie considered as slight underdogs, even the most pessimistic of Sporting Cristal fan would have found it hard to imagine the team being blown away by a 4-0 margin in last week’s first leg. Nonetheless, the Peruvians were indeed hammered and their terrible showing leaves them all but out of the Libertadores already.
All Cristal can attempt to do now is try and mount the most unlikeliest of comebacks and they’ll be looking to pile forward from the off. Considering they’ve scored in an impressive 19 straight home games, the hosts will at least be confident in providing more of a threat than in last week’s fixture but the fact they’ve also conceded in each of their last 4 at home is also a big concern heading into Friday’s clash.
Barcelona looking to breeze through
Meanwhile, with domestic action yet to resume, Barcelona have been able to solely focus on the Libertadores so far in 2020 and they’ve looked very strong in the action contested thus far. The Ecuadorians breezed past Uruguayans Progreso with a 5-1 aggregate win in the last round, whilst they moved one step closer to the group stage proper with an outstanding performance last week.
4-0 up, there’s little reason for Barcelona to be nervous prior to arrival in Lima and they’ll be looking to assert dominance over Sporting Cristal once again. Having won 3 of their last 4 Copa Libertadores away games, confidence can be high in visiting ranks coming into the trip and it’s one they’ll be itching to win to keep their momentum going.
An open game is expected to be in order
Ultimately, we’re expecting Friday’s game to be a very exciting and open one. Sporting Cristlal have no option but to pile men forward from the off, given the first leg score; and that will give Barcelona outfit that is looking strong in attack plenty of room to work with on the counter.
All things considered, backing the Both Teams to Score line looks the best way to play as far as the betting is concerned and is something we’re more than happy to get behind with maximum confidence. Both teams have scored in Cristal’s last 4 home games and we see that streak continuing via a 2-1 away win. It’ll be a closer game than last week’s but we still think Barcelona will run out just too strong on the night.
