Sporting Kansas City vs Orlando City Betting Tips & Predictions

Sporting Kansas City began the season with real promise when they beat Seattle Sounders, Whitecaps, and Toronto FC in their opening three MLS matches, but it went downhill fast after that.

They lost at home to Real Salt Lake first before bouncing back and beating the out of form New York Red Bulls. Since then they haven’t won a game though, and five of their seven matches since have ended in defeat to leave them with a points tally of just two from a possible 21.

This has pushed them out of the MLS Western Conference playoff spots that they scraped into last term, and they come into this game in 7th position with a three point deficit on Whitecaps above them. Every team but Whitecaps has at least one game in hand on Sporting Kansas City as well, so they could yet drop further down the table.

Orlando City find themselves in 5th position in th eMLS Eastern Conference, four points adrift of the leaders and with a game in hand on two of the four teams above them. However, their points tally isn’t overly impressive. They only have 11 points from their opening nine games, and the fact that they are so close to the top of the table is more down to other teams’ failures than their own success.

The visitors come into this game having not won in five matches after their four match unbeaten streak at the start of the season. They have only lost twice all season to be fair to them, but they have also only won twice.

Sporting Kansas City haven’t won in three home games, but they have been against some very good sides. Orlando City aren’t a very good side at the moment, as is evident by their record of one win, two defeats, and one draw in their four away days so far this season.

They have managed to score in each one of these away days though, and they haven’t failed to score all season, they have only kept one clean sheet as well though. Sporting Kansas City have conceded in four of their five home games and in ten of their 12 games overall. This makes odds of 7/10 for Both Teams to Score look very good value for money, so I’m going for that along with a 2-2 correct score prediction at 12/1.
