Goal backers beware – this will be a stale affair

Goals look set to be scarce when rock-bottom Dundee host sinking St Mirren in this twice-postponed Premiership fixture on Wednesday.

The Buddies have lost their goal touch since Jim Goodwin departed last month with new manager Stephen Robinson yet to experience the joy of his team scoring in three games so far. The Paisley side set up very defensively against Celtic last week and produced a paltry xG figure of 0.02 in a 2-0 defeat.

Things did improve slightly after they went behind in Dingwall on Saturday, but the fact that it took Ross County to go 1-0 up before they created anything serious remains a concern.
