Stoke City vs Derby Predictions
- Stoke have drawn three of their last four Championship games
- Each of Derby’s last three games have finished 1-1
- Three of the last seven meetings between these two sides have ended in draws
Wins hard to come by for both
Two sides struggling for wins will meet at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday lunchtime as Stoke, who have won just one of their eight games under Narcis Pelach, entertain a Derby side yet to register a victory on the road since returning to the Championship.
Stoke’s only win under Pelach was an emphatic one – the 6-1 home success over Portsmouth – but they have drawn three of their four Championship matches since, including the last two at the bet365 against Norwich and Bristol City.
Derby lost their opening four away matches in the league, but they have drawn their last two on the road. In fact, the Rams have shared the spoils in three games on the bounce all told, with each of those contests finishing 1-1.
Difficult to separate evenly matched pair
Draws have also been a theme of recent meetings between these two sides, with three of the last seven ending all-square.
These are certainly two evenly-matched sides, with just three points separating them in the Championship standings, while they have both taken six points from their last seven league games, registering one win, three draws and three defeats during that time.
With Derby’s last three matches having finished 1-1 and Stoke playing our score draws in their last two home fixtures, both sides should get on the scoresheet on Saturday, bringing the 1-1 final result firmly into play.
