Tight Como can come out on top

Only Roma have conceded fewer goals than Como in the opening 11 games of the Italian league season and Cesc Fabregas’s side look to just have the edge in what is likely to be a tight game at Torino on Monday.

The visitors’ only defeat was a 1-0 reverse at Bologna in their second game and while they have drawn six of their games, their hosts are likely to find them difficult to break down.

Three of Como’s last four games have finished goalless but there has been enough to like in their recent home wins over Juventus and Hellas Verona to suggest they are rightfully favourites to take the points in this one.

Torino home form may be misleading

Torino are in decent form themselves and unbeaten in their last six games, but it could pay to scratch beneath the surface.

They recorded a lower expected-goals (xG) figure than their opponents in their last two home matches, which were a 2-1 win over Genoa, when they came through with a late winner, and a 2-2 draw with Pisa.

So there may just be a few more holes in the home team’s recent record and with over 2.5 goals being a winning bet in just two of Como’s league games this term, correct-score betting enthusiasts are pointed towards a 1-0 away win.
