Toronto FC vs New England Revolution Predictions
Toronto FC aren’t having a terrible season, but their inconsistent results have dampened what could have been a special MLS campaign.
This inconsistency stretches back a long way, and the last time they won more than two games in a row was all the way back in May 2014.
They continued this record when they lost 2-1 to Seattle Sounders on Sunday after they had beaten Montreal Impact and Orlando City.
This leaves them in 5th place in the MLS Eastern Conference, three points behind Sunday’s opponents but with game in hand over them.
Montreal Impact sit six points below them in 6th, with Philadelphia Union trailing by seven points. Unfortunately for Toronto though, they 6th place team have two games in hand on them.
Toronto FC are the joint highest scorers in the MLS, with their 45 goals in 26 games seeing them tie with Columbus Crew. But they have conceded 44 at the other end in the process.
New England have scored seven fewer goals than the home side, but have also conceded fewer than their opponents.
New England are in 4th position in the table, and with just one point separating them from 3rd place Columbus Crew and two points behind 2nd place New York Red Bulls. They also have a game in hand over Columbus.
This is largely thanks to their excellent run of form at the moment. The away side have won five of their last six MLS games after they finally managed to break out of their six match losing streak.
New England have won four of the last five meetings between the sides, and with form on their side I can see them making it five wins in six. Odds of 13/5 for this outcome look incredibly attractive too, so that’s what I’m backing. Both Teams to Score at 4/7 looks good as well though to be fair.
