Ukraine vs Finland Predictions

• Ukraine drew 1-1 with France in their opening game in Group D.
• Finland drew 2-2 with Bosnia in their opening clash.
• Ukraine have won both of the encounters between these two sides.

Tough match on both sides

Ukraine come into this game following a great 1-1 draw with France on Wednesday evening leaving Group D wide open neither all teams sitting on one point at the moment.

Ukraine hadn’t enjoyed the best of form prior to that result with three defeats in a row at the hands of Switzerland, Germany and Poland but their result against France would’ve given them plenty of encouragement heading into a game they’d be looking to win.

Finland opened their Group D account with a 2-2 draw against Bosnia, a result which wouldn’t help either side’s hopes of qualifying for the World Cup. Prior to that they picked up a fantastic 2-0 win over France but slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Wales.

This game won’t be an easy proposition for either side but we think the hosts should have the slight edge and we’re backing Ukraine to come out on top. It should be quite a narrow win for the home side though and we’re forecasting a 2-1 victory for the Eastern Europeans.
