Sporting Lisbon and Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Sporting are on a ten-game unbeaten run in the league and have won eight of those. They are chasing down leaders Porto and should take the points, but Vitoria Guimaraes have scored in five of their last seven games and should register.

      Sporting Lisbon 2-1

      Reason for tip

Sporting have conceded in their last five away games but have scored twice or more in four of their last seven trips. They face a home side that have scored four goals in their last four matches.

      Luis Suarez To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Colombia international Luis Suarez scored in Sporting’s Taca de Portugal win over Santa Clara on Thursday, taking his tally to three goals in his last two appearances. The 28-year-old forward has netted 15 times in 24 games in his debut season following his summer switch from Almeria and he looks capable of adding to his tally at the expense of Guimaraes.

Vitoria Guimaraes vs Sporting Lisbon Predictions

      • Vitoria Guimaraes have scored in six of their last seven matches.
      • Sporting are one of four teams yet to lose away from home in the league.
      • The Lions have scored in every away game in all competitions this season.

Sporting to keep the pressure on

Sporting will look to cut the gap to Portuguese Primeira Liga leaders Porto when they make the trip to Estadio D. Afonso Henriques to take on a Vitoria Guimaraes side attempting to chase down a European spot.

The Lions are on a 10-game unbeaten in the league – registering eight wins and two draws – and they are yet to suffer defeat away from home in seven top-flight attempts (W6 D1).

Vitoria will be no pushovers, though, and they have lost just one of their last seven assignments, scoring in all but two of those contests.

Luis Pinto’s troops should be able to find the back of the net, but they are unlikely to outscore a Sporting team who are the leading scorers in the division with 38 goals.

Suarez to stay on the goal trail

Colombia international Luis Suarez scored in Sporting’s Taca de Portugal win over Santa Clara on Thursday, taking his tally to three goals in his last two appearances.

The 28-year-old forward has netted 15 times in 24 games in his debut season following his summer switch from Almeria and he looks capable of adding to his tally at the expense of Guimaraes.
