      Watford vs Blackburn Rovers Predictions

      • Watford have accrued ten points from their first five league games, keeping four clean sheets.
      • Both teams have failed to register in all five of Watford’s league matches so far.
      • Blackburn have picked up just one point from their last two games in which they have failed to hit the net.

Another clean sheet on the cards for Watford

Watford secured their third win and fourth clean sheet of the season with a 0-1 success at Derby on Friday and The Hornets are likely to be involved in another scrappy affair at home to Blackburn this Wednesday.

Joao Pedro’s second goal of the campaign was enough to clinch all three points at Pride Park, a result which lifted Vladimir Ivic’s side up to fifth in the early Championship standings.

The Serbian’s pragmatic approach is undoubtedly paying dividends so far and Watford now look like they have settled and stabilised following their relegation from the Premier League last term.

With three 1-0 wins and a 0-0 stalemate on the board, Watford’s fixtures have hardly been enthralling though and more of the same can be expected against Blackburn.

All five of the hosts’ matches thus far have seen both teams fail to register and that’s our selection for Wednesday’s clash, with Blackburn also failing to score in their last two outings after being turned over 0-1 by Forest on Saturday.

Tony Mowbray’s charges looked aimless at the weekend in stark contrast to their first three games where they smashed in a total of 11 goals and Watford should be able to contain them here, with another 1-0 score-line in favour of Ivic’s side on the cards.
