West Ham vs Stoke Betting Tips

It’s like deja vu for West Ham. They started last season very impressively before dropping off the boil, and they seem to be doing exactly the same this time round.

They managed to beat the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool on the road earlier in the season, but coming into this game they find themselves on a run of five Premier League games without a win.

They have suffered defeats to Watford and Spurs during this spell and drawn against West Brom, Everton, and Manchester United.

This has seen them drop down to 7^th in the Premier League table, and another defeat on Saturday could see them drop as low as 12^th in a tight mid-table race.

Stoke would be one of those to overtake the Hammers should they lose on Saturday, with a win for them possibly seeing them move as high as 6^th in the table from their current 11^th position.

Their fairly low league position is largely down to Stoke failing to win any of their first six Premier League games, but since then they have started to come together as a cohesive team following their summer spending spree.

They have won nine of their last 12 games in all competitions, losing twice and drawing once. Four of their last five have ended in victory for the up and coming Stoke, and they have managed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last six games.

With Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho, Dimitri Payet, and Manuel Lanzini all expected to be missing for the home side I can’t see them getting a win against an in form Stoke. Odds of 2.100 for a Stoke 0.0 Asian Handicap win look extremely good value as well, so I’m backing that along with a 1-0 win for the visitors at 8/1.
