Wolves vs Rotherham Predictions
Rotherham will be confident of completing their great escape act here. A point will be enough to secure their Championship status for another season and it would mark 11 matches unbeaten for the Millers. Their 1-1 draw at home to Huddersfield on Tuesday moved them onto 48 points and even if they lose here they will be safe if MK Dons fail to win their game at home to Brentford so there is likely to be plenty of cause for celebration in the visiting end come full-time. Rotherham won 4-0 at Milton Keynes in their last away game and seem to be enjoying life on the road right now so they will firmly believe they can get something here.
They have every chance of doing that too with Wolves missing a few key players for the remainder of what has been a challenging season for them. They come into this game following two defeats by 2-1 margins at Leeds and Hull. They will be looking to avoid a 3rd defeat against Yorkshire opposition in the space of a week here but they have gone 5 matches unbeaten at home so they’ll be relatively optimistic of doing that.
This game does have the feel of a draw and all of Wolves’ last 3 home games have finished level. Neil Warnock has managed Rotherham’s survival bid very well you have to say. He’s been bold in the games that the club has really needed to win and generally been rewarded for that but he’s also been content to keep things tight and settle for a point particularly since Rotherham’s big win at MK Dons that gave them a big advantage on the bottom three. With a point all they need to stay up here, they will most likely settle for that and with Wolves not entirely convincing in attack right now and not really with much to play for, they ought to get it.
Therefore consider backing this to finish in a 0-0 draw at 10/1. That would be Wolves’ 4th consecutive 0-0 draw at Molineux.
