Liverpool to Win

Reason for tip

Liverpool have won six of their last eight away games and have beaten their rivals in four of the last six derbies, while Manchester United have rode their luck at times recently and have lost two of their last four matches.

Liverpool 2-1

Reason for tip

Manchester United have scored in each of their last 13 games in all competitions so should get on the scoresheet on Sunday, but they have conceded exactly twice in three of their last four defeats.

Mohamed Salah To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Mohamed Salah scored once and assisted three times in midweek and the Liverpool talisman has a fantastic record against Manchester United, netting 12 times in 13 appearances against them and scoring 11 of those in the last seven.

Manchester United vs Liverpool Predictions

  • Liverpool have won four of their last six meetings with Manchester United.
  • Liverpool have won six of their last eight away games.
  • Mohamed Salah has scored 11 goals in his last seven meetings with Manchester United.

Red Devils riding their luck

Manchester United have recovered somewhat from a disastrous first half of the season but they could struggle to maintain their promising form when a rampant Liverpool side visit Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have won seven of their last nine games but were outclassed by Manchester City earlier this month and have been incredibly lucky to win at times, and they would have to garner some more good fortune to hold Liverpool at bay.

Rampant Reds flying high

Jurgen Klopp’s side completed an 11-2 aggregate rout of Sparta Prague in midweek to make it seven wins from their last nine and, unlike their hosts on Sunday, they have not relied on the rub of the green.

Liverpool have scored a huge 28 goals in these nine fixtures and have also won six of their last eight away games, so they are justified favourites to win against a Manchester United side they have beaten in four of their last six encounters.

Salah to strike at Old Trafford

Manchester United have scored in 13 successive matches, though, so I do expect them to get on the scoresheet and, with them conceding exactly twice in three of their last four defeats, a 2-1 correct score prediction appeals.

Mohamed Salah is the man to watch in front of goal. He made his first start since before the Africa Cup of Nations in midweek and contributed a goal and three assists, while he has netted 12 goals in 13 appearances against the Red Devils, 11 of which have come in his last seven outings.
