Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored with over 2.5 goals in Sevilla’s last two games against top-five clubs and also in five of Atletico Madrid’s last seven matches. Sevilla should see this as a chance to take points against a weakened Atleti side but their defensive issues could also betray them.

Sevilla under huge pressure again

Sevilla enter Saturday’s clash with Atletico Madrid in full crisis mode after a third straight defeat and with Luis Garcia Plaza already under an ultimatum.

The new coach’s debut could hardly have gone worse — a damaging defeat away to bottom‑placed Oviedo — and Sevilla’s slide since their derby draw with Betis has been alarming. One point from four matches, including a heavy beating by Barcelona, has dragged them dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The Sanchez Pizjuan outfit score just 1.2 goals per game and concede nearly two, and their defensive structure continues to crumble at key moments. With Jose Carmona and Tanguy Nianzou suspended and several injuries piling up, Plaza must improvise again.

Simeone could summon Sorloth

Two straight league defeats had halted Atletico’s momentum until they took control of their Champions League quarter-final against Barca in midweek.

But with one foot already in the semi‑finals of that competition and a comfortable cushion in the top‑four race, Diego Simeone is expected to ring the changes. Alexander Sorloth, who came off the bedcn to score the second at Camp Nou on Wednesday, looks set to start and can add to his 10-goal la Liga tally against a weak Sevilla backline.

Los Colchoneros are probably best swerved at short odds in the result market, but their attacking nature is unlikely to change much with the personnel, so back both teams to score with at least three goals in a game Sevilla dare not lose.
