79/1 Correct Score Double
For this double we needed the same scoreline in two international games, namely a 2-1 win for France at home against Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League, as well as a 2-1 win for Germany in a friendly against Peru.
Both games kicked off at the same time, and the World Champions got off to the perfect start as that man Kylian Mbappe gave France the lead with a smart strike on 14 minutes after a terrible defensive header from Quincy Promes. There were no more goals in the game in the first half so they went into half time 1-0 to the good.
Over in Germany, the 2014 World Champions slipped a goal behind after pacy fullback Advincula gave Peru an early advantage on 22 minutes, before Julian Brandt pegged a goal straight back just 3 minutes later to level the scoring. The game went into half time with the scores tied.
Next we went back over to the France game where Netherlands started to get the better of the chances, which eventually culminated in an equalising goal. Wijnaldum should have scored just 30 seconds prior, but Ryan Babel made no mistake to level the scoring at 1-1. They weren’t level for long though, as Olivier Giroud smashed home a Benjamin Mendy cross to give France back the lead at 2-1. That is the way the game ended, leaving us just a Germany goal away from the double landing.
It took until very late in the second half, but eventually Germany regained their lead through Nico Schulz of Hoffenheim. There were no more goals in the game, so it ended 2-1 to Germany, landing the 79/1 Correct Score Double!
