Declan Rice to score or assist

Declan Rice has made a solid start for Arsenal this term, providing an assist against Leeds and setting up their Old Trafford winner with a corner. He was on the scoresheet for England on Saturday, capping off the victory over Andorra at Villa Park.

Rice has either scored or assisted in all three games he’s started for England in this qualifying campaign. The midfielder scored twice and assisted once across four games in the Nations League to close out last year, so he’s a sneakily key part of Thomas Tuchel’s setup heading into this trip.

A tough contest with Serbia should suit the Arsenal players, given the tense battles they tend to feature in under Mikel Arteta. Rice has stepped up when needed for his country of late, so back him to have an impact on Tuesday’s encounter.

Sasa Lukic to be fouled 2+ times

The Fulham midfielder should get on the ball against England. He was heavily involved in the Euro 2024 clash between the pair. Lukic sat just in front of the back three against Latvia, which means he’ll likely run into the England press as Serbia look to advance up the pitch.

Lukic started the season being fouled five times across his first two Premier League games for Fulham. He was fouled three times in Serbia’s win over Latvia. The midfielder has now been fouled at least twice in two of his three appearances in this qualifying campaign, so back Lukic to draw a couple of fouls against England.

Strahinja Pavlovic to commit 2+ fouls

AC Milan defender Pavlovic looks vulnerable, with the defender set to start on the left of their back three. That means he’ll be responsible for covering Noni Madueke when the Arsenal winger cuts inside, while Pavlovic will need to help the left-wing back when Reece James pushes forward in support.

Pavlovic pushed into midfield often against Latvia, often positioning himself beside Lukic in front of a back two. Given England’s pace on the breakaway, he could very easily be tasked with breaking up play when Serbia lose the ball.

While Pavlovic hasn’t been called on too much in qualifying so far, the defender did commit two or more fouls in five of his last six Nations League games. He made at least two fouls in home clashes with Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, and Austria. Given the scale of this test, back him to make a couple of fouls.

Andrija Zivkovic to be carded

Zivkovic is set to start on the right-hand side for Serbia, covering that flank in their 3-5-2 setup. That means he’ll often be isolated against the opposition winger, while he’ll also run into Myles Lewis-Skelly.

The Arsenal defender is an expert at drawing fouls, while Tuchel will look to get his wingers against the isolated full-backs. Zivkovic was cautioned twice across four Nations League appearances for Serbia, while he has been booked in this season’s Europa League for PAOK.
