30/1 Bet Builder for Newcastle vs Aston Villa

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

While Newcastle’s bright start appears to have fizzled out, Aston Villa are on the up. Unai Emery’s side had an impressive victory in midweek, and now they head to St James’ Park aiming to build some momentum.

We expect a high-scoring clash on Tyneside, and I’ve put together a 30/1 Bet Builder for Saturday’s late game, which Villa backed to catch the eye again.

Newcastle vs Aston Villa Bet Builder

Nicolas Jackson to score anytime

Jackson worked under Unai Emery at Villarreal, and their Villa Park reunion has gone incredibly well so far. The forward scored twice against Fenerbahce on Wednesday, taking his tally to five goals in eight appearances for his new side.

Jackson has scored four of those across his last three matches, and the forward can continue his purple patch on Saturday.

Johan Manzambi 1+ shot on target

Johan Manzambi looked set to join Newcastle this summer, until Aston Villa stepped in to hijack the deal. The Swiss international can show the Magpies what they missed out on, as he looks to have nailed down a starting role.

Manzambi scored his second goal for Villa in midweek, and he has recorded at least one shot on target in seven of his last eight games for club and country. He had no fewer than seven shots against Brentford last weekend, while he scored at Tottenham in their last league trip.

Nico Gonzalez to be carded

Gonzalez picked up six bookings for Man City last season in limited minutes, while he was booked 13 times in two league campaigns with Porto.

Playing for a less-dominant side should see the Spaniard pick up more cards, and he has committed the second-most fouls for Newcastle this season with 10.

Joao Gomes to be carded

Gomes was shown 30 bookings across his last three Premier League campaigns with Wolves, and the early signs from his move to Aston Villa suggested that would continue.

He was carded four times across his first three matches, including his red card against Brighton. Gomes was booked in the Champions League trip to Brugge last month, and he’s committed 12 fouls across 400 minutes for Villa this season.
