Conference League 2026/27 outright predictions with 7/1 & 16/1 tips

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

With West Ham, Chelsea and Crystal Palace all winning the Conference League across the last four seasons, the pressure is on Brighton to follow suit this term.

The Seagulls start their second-ever European campaign as favourites in the outright betting. However, there’s a much more competitive field than Palace faced last season. Freiburg and Braga, who met in last season’s Europa League semi-finals, are joined by 2024 Europa League winners Atalanta and Dutch giants Ajax.

Conference League 2026/27 outright predictions

Monaco to win the Conference League at 7/1

Monaco are making a substantial drop down the European pecking order after back-to-back appearances in the Champions League knockouts. They pushed eventual winners PSG over two legs last season, losing 5-4 on aggregate.

Experience of playing at Europe’s top level should benefit Monaco against the other Conference League contenders. Brighton’s lack of European experience makes them opposable favourites, while Freiburg and Braga have suffered significant departures this summer.

Ajax are in the midst of a full rebuild, while Atalanta are still getting over the departure of Gian Piero Gasperini last year.

Not only do Monaco have a strong squad with plenty of options in the final third, but the appointment of Filipe Luiz is eye-catching. The former Chelsea full-back excelled as Flamengo manager, lifting the Copa Libertadores with them in 2025.

Having already navigated South America’s top continental competition, the highly-rated Luiz could make his mark in Europe by lifting the Conference League.

Midtjylland to win the Conference League at 16/1

Midtjylland are an incredibly shrewd side, and they made a real impression in last season’s Europa League. The Danish outfit finished third in the League Phase, landing only two points behind winners Aston Villa.

Midtjylland beat Celtic and claimed a 3-2 victory at Nottingham Forest in the first round, winning six of eight matches overall. The club landed a harsh last 16 draw against Forest, which they lost in extra time despite a 1-0 victory at the City Ground.

They dealt with Bohemians and Rijeka with ease in qualifying, and the club have a pretty kind League Phase schedule ahead of them. They’d be good outsiders to top the standings, and they’re capable of emerging as a real threat to lift the trophy as the competition progresses.

Dark horses – Trabzonspor at 66/1

If you’re looking for a bigger-priced outsider, Mohamed Salah’s new club seem underrated at 66/1. They lost 5-0 to Ferencvaros in Europa League qualifying, but they did receive three red cards across that tie.

Trabzonspor won the Turkish Cup last season, while they finished third in the Super Lig, only eight points shy of champions Galatasaray. Since then, they’ve spent money in the transfer market, along with adding Salah and his former Liverpool teammate Fabinho on free transfers.

Former Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana is another of their recognisable names, so they’ve got a solid foundation to make a run in Europe’s third-tier competition. While they lack a track record in Europe, last season’s domestic success, along with their big-name signings, mark them out at a bigger price than the likes of Brann and Nordsjaelland.
