Our opening leg saw Columbus race into a 5-0 lead, before Miguel Almiron pulled a goal back for Atlanta. The hosts fought back in the second half, scoring their fourth goal after 88 minutes. However, they were unable to grab an equaliser.
Inter Miami didn’t show the same kind of fight, as Lionel Messi missed a penalty as their 10-men lost 3-0 in Charlotte. That was a ninth win on the spin for Charlotte, while it carried our MLS acca into the later games.
After falling behind 13 minutes into the game, New York City roared back to secure a win in Chicago. They took the lead just before the hour mark, clearing the over 2.5 goals line in the process.
In Utah, Real Salt Lake scored either side of half time to boost their playoff hopes. An own goal from Brayan Vera got Sporting KC back into the game, landing our BTTS tip.
Finally, there was little jeopardy as the Vancouver Whitecaps saw off Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia Union. Thomas Muller inspired them to a 4-0 lead at the break, completing his hat-trick as he wrapped up a 7-0 win in the 88th-minute.
