Wolves vs Bournemouth
3pm Saturday
Only five Premier League teams have seen their opponents booked more times than Bournemouth this season, and that spells bad news for Wolves’ combative centre-back Yerson Mosquera.
The Colombian picked up his eighth caution of the season at Manchester City last weekend and, remarkably, all eight of those have come in his last 11 appearances for the club. He has averaged a booking every 131 minutes in the Premier League this season but, despite his ill-discipline, he is unlikely to be dropped from the starting lineup anytime soon, with Rob Edwards describing him as “great” following the 24-year-old’s performance against the Citizens.
Tip – Yerson Mosquera to be booked
Chelsea vs West Ham
Sky Sports Main Event, 5:30pm Saturday
West Ham may have picked up some much-needed points in their battle against Premier League relegation recently, but their resurgence could hit a stumbling block at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and Enzo Fernandez could play a role in a Chelsea win.
The Blues have won five of their six games since Liam Rosenior’s appointment earlier this month, and Fernandez has had a hand in five of their 16 goals under the former Strasbourg boss. That takes the midfielder’s tally to 14 combined goals and assists for the club this season, one of which came against the Hammers back in August, and he has only failed to register a goal or an assist twice in his last six appearances.
Tip – Enzo Fernandez to score or assist
Aston Villa vs Brentford
Sky Sports Premier League, 2pm Sunday
Only Erling Haaland has scored more Premier League goals than Brentford’s Igor Thiago this season, with the Brazilian striker notching 16 times from his 54 attempts on goal, and he looks set to thrive against an Aston Villa side that have allowed their opponents more shots than 14 top flight teams.
Thiago, who has done a stellar job stepping into the shoes vacated by Bryan Mbeumo this term, has had 16 shots on goal in his last four appearances and has had four or more attempts in five of his last 15 appearances.
Unai Emery’s side allowed Newcastle 15 shots last weekend, and they could face significant pressure from the Bees’ in-form forward.
Tip – Igor Thiago to have over 3.5 shots
