Manchester United vs Tottenham
12:30pm Saturday
Tottenham have shown some signs of improvement recently and the increasing influence of Dutch international Xavi Simons has been key.
The arrival of Conor Gallagher has freed up more space for Simons to be more creative while Dominic Solanke’s return from injury has given him a willing outlet to target.
Simons completed five line-breaking passes in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City, the most of any player in a Premier League game this season, one of which was converted by Solanke.
As well as being a creative force, Simons has taken 18 shots in his last five matches and should be a constant threat to Manchester United’s defence tomorrow.
The Red Devils have been revitalised under Michael Carrick but they have still kept only two clean sheets in their last 18 matches.
Spurs have been much better on the road than in north London this season and Simons will be central to their chances at Old Trafford.
Tip: Xavi Simons to score or assist
Wolves vs Chelsea
3pm Saturday
Wolves are already looking ahead to next season with relegation to the Championship seeming a formality.
The performances of youngster Mateus Mane have been a rare bright spark for Wanderers, however.
Since making his first league start in late December, Mane has taken more shots, recorded more shots on target and played more minutes than any other Wolves player.
Manager Rob Edwards has given the former England youth international an increasingly important role in the Old Gold’s attack and he is usually to the fore whenever Wolves find themselves in positive situations.
The 18-year-old, who had a goal disallowed against Bournemouth last weekend, has taken eight shots in his last two games and could be worth backing to muster at least another two against Chelsea tomorrow.
Tip: Matheus Mane to have two or more shots
Newcastle vs Brentford
5.30pm Saturday
Newcastle’s dismal away from continued with a 3-1 defeat at Manchester City on Wednesday night and an injury to Anthony Gordon rubbed further salt into the Toon’s wounds.
The Magpies have had only three days to get over their EFL semi-final loss to the Citizens and, with Gordon a major doubt, Harvey Barnes looks set to take over on the left flank against Brentford tomorrow.
The former Leicester man is Newcastle’s top scorer this season, bagging 12 goals in all competitions, nine of which have come at St James’ Park.
Barnes has found the net four times in his last six league games against Brentford, including one in November’s reverse fixture, and he could sting the Bees once more on Tyneside.
Tip: Harvey Barnes anytime goalscorer
