Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

Strong Champions League results have quelled the issues at Tottenham for now, but Thomas Frank remains under huge pressure ahead of their crunch showdown with Manchester City on Sunday.

Spurs pulled off an impressive 2-0 win at the Etihad back in August, but City have improved since then. However, both Frank and Spurs have troubled City in recent years, and they seem more comfortable at home when they’re the underdogs.

Ahead of the Super Sunday showdown at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, I’ve selected four player bets for the game, which make up a 37/1 bet builder.

Tottenham vs Man City Ultimate Bet Builder

Antoine Semenyo 1+ shots on target

Semenyo has made a brilliant start to his Manchester City career, and missing Wednesday’s Champions League clash should help him continue that on Sunday.

The Ghanian has scored in three of his first four matches for the Citizens, while he scored against Tottenham in his final appearance for Bournemouth.

Semenyo recorded a shot on target in his first two league meetings with Tottenham, and he’s had at least one effort on goal in 10 of his last 12 appearances across all competitions.

Antoine Semenyo to commit 2+ fouls

While Semenyo can make an impact going forward, he’s had a bit of a discipline problem this term. The winger has six yellow cards to his name, four of which came away from home.

Semenyo has committed 43 fouls across his 25 club appearances, and he’s made two fouls in two of his last three games for City.

The winger made two fouls in both clashes with Tottenham for the Cherries this term as well, so back him to make a couple of fouls when he’s matched up with one of Spurs’ wing-backs.

Conor Gallagher to be shown a card

Gallagher’s work rate in midfield should make him a perfect fit for Frank’s likely game plan in this clash, but the England international could end up in the book.

As a team, Tottenham went into the weekend having been shown more yellow cards than any other side. They foul at the third-highest rate of any side at home, and they have been shown seven more cautions at home than any other Premier League club.

January addition Gallagher hasn’t contributed to that tally yet, but he had two bookings in limited La Liga minutes this season. He has been booked 37 times across his last four Premier League campaigns, so he stands out in the card betting.

Micky van de Ven to be shown a card

Given Spurs’ high card count, it seems worth backing a couple of their players to be booked here. While Romero has more bookings than van de Ven in the league, the Dutchman has picked up five of his six Premier League bookings at home.

Seven of his nine cautions across all competitions have come at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the defender has been booked in two of his last three league games.
