Chris Eubank Jr claimed a unanimous decision victory over bitter rival Conor Benn earlier this year and in a classic encounter and the pair will run it back in a rematch on Saturday.

The first fight had an intense build-up, a family feud and an element of uncertainty over whether or not Chris Eubank Sr would even be in attendance.

As it transpired, Eubank Sr did turn up for the main event as he accompanied his son on the ringwalk and the fight itself more than lived up to the hype.

The rematch hasn’t attracted quite the same level of attention but that shouldn’t detract from the fact we could be in for another great watch after a thrilling and close first encounter.

I’ve got betting tips for Eubank Jr vs Benn II, details on how to watch and a 14/1 accumulator covering the undercard.

Eubank Jr vs Benn II prediction and fight preview

Eubank Jr comes into the fight as the favourite at 8/13 to win by any method and Conor Benn is a 13/10 chance.

Both men enjoyed periods of success in the first fight and at times it became an all-out war. This rematch might not hit quite the same levels in terms of entertainment, but we could see a more emphatic result and Eubank Jr may be able to engineer a stoppage at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Benn is an explosive fighter and he used those bursts to great effect in the first meeting. The 28-year-old will probably adopt a similar approach in the rematch, but Eubank Jr has previous experience of a high-profile rematch as he avenged a stoppage loss to Liam Smith by picking up a win inside the distance over Beefy eight months later.

This time he isn’t looking for any revenge or redemption, but he should have a clearer idea of what he is up against and he has the skills and the size advantages to control the distance a little better this weekend. Benn will probably try and box on the backfoot before launching attacks, and that will give Eubank Jr a few chances on the counter. If he can make the most of those opportunities he may be able to win without requiring the judges.

Eubank Jr vs Benn Card Treble Tip

Chris Eubank Jr to win by KO, TKO or Disqualification
Vs Conor Benn

Jack Catterall to win by decision or technical decision
Vs Ekow Essuman

Ekow Essuman takes on Jack Catterall after a career-best win over former super lightweight champion Josh Taylor but he might find the Tartan Tornado’s old foe too good on Saturday.

Catterall is a skilled counterpuncher and Essuman’s style could play into his hands. The Engine is a high-pressure fighter, and if Catterall gets his gameplan right he has all the tools to claim a comfortable points win.

Fight to go the distance – Yes
Sam Gilley vs Ishmel Davis

Ishmel Davis is the clear favourite in this British and Commonwealth super welterweight tussle with Sam Gilley, but there is a chance of an upset here.

The best angle, however, looks to be backing this fight to go the full distance. Gilley has never been stopped and has a fairly modest stoppage rate of his own, with half of his 18 wins coming inside the distance. Davis has only been stopped once and that was against an elite operator in Serhii Bohachuk, while his own knockout rate is just over 40%.

Adam Azim to win by KO, TKO or Disqualification
Vs Kurt Scoby

Adam Azim takes on American Kurt Scoby and a victory on Saturday should set the Assassin on his way to a shot at a world title in the not too distant future.

Azim has 10 wins inside the distance on a 13-0 record and he’s on a four-fight knockout streak. The 23-year-old can add Scoby to his list of stoppage victims in North London.
