Anthony Joshua makes a return to the ring after over a year away from the spotlight with a bizarre match-up against Jake Paul on Friday in Miami.
Paul was originally training to face lightweight Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis in an exhibition bout, but when that got scrapped, he turned to former two-time heavyweight world champion Joshua, for a full fight rather than an exhibition event.
Paul has consistently called out AJ over the last few years and has now got his wish – but he may quickly come to regret that decision.
I’ve got the main event covered, details on the undercard and how to watch, a selection of Paul vs Joshua betting offers as well as a 19/1 treble covering a couple of fights on the undercard.
How to watch Paul vs Joshua
The fight will be broadcast on Netflix. The fight isn’t a PPV event but does require a subscription. Coverage is due to start at 10pm on Friday and Paul vs Joshua should start at any time from 3.30am Saturday.

Paul vs Joshua prediction and fight preview
Tip – Joshua to win in rounds 1-2 at 6/4 bet365
Anthony Joshua is plotting a big comeback in 2026, and he should be able to make light work of Jake Paul.
The Problem Child has spent almost his entire career at cruiserweight and has never been tested at this level, and facing AJ represents a huge step up in class as well as in weight.
Joshua has a 28-4 record with 25 of his wins coming via knockouts and he is one of the most devastating finishers in the modern heavyweight era, so he may only need one chance to finish the job against Paul.
Paul will try and use his speed and athleticism to stay out of range but he probably doesn’t have the level of skill required to pull that kind of game plan off for a significant level of time.
Joshua is a heavy favourite and offers little appeal at just 1/12 to win or even 2/7 to win via KO, TKO or DQ. The value pick, therefore, is taking a chance on the 8/5 on offer for AJ to win the opening two rounds.
19/1 Paul vs Joshua card treble tip
Anthony Joshua to win in rounds 1-2 vs Jake Paul
Anderson Silva KO, TKO or DQ vs Tyron Woodley
Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley are big names in MMA but are both relative novices in boxing. Woodley’s boxing record stands at 0-2 and he’s only ever fought Jake Paul, losing once on points and once by knockout.
Silva has more experience in the squared circle and is 3-2, including a win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, so the Brazilian should be able to overcome Woodley. Two of Silva’s wins have come via stoppages and he was a talented striker during his UFC days, while Woodley could be liable to being stopped after his sixth-round defeat to Paul back in 2021 and the fact he has been inactive in boxing since.
Alycia Baumgardner to win by decision/technical decision vs Leila Beaudoin
Baumgardner is ranked inside the top 10 in the women’s pound-for-pound list and the super featherweight champion should be too slick for challenger Leila Beaudoin. Baumgardner’s last five wins have come on points and she can pick up another wide decision win on Friday.
