FAQs

How do you bet on snooker?

Betting on the winner of a particular tournament is the most popular way to bet on snooker, with this being known as an ‘outright outcome’. While the shortest odds will of course be given to the favourite, it’s certainly having a look further down the market since snooker produces shocks aplenty.

There are a number of other ways to bet on snooker, however. There’s handicap betting, for example, where punters can give a player a head start or predict a completely one-sided affair. Session betting is when you can bet on sessions – little sections of matches in the bigger tournaments that usually consist of four frames.

If you don’t want to make a prediction on a match’s winner, betting on the Over/Under market might suit you. This is where you bet on the number of total frames in a match – so if you think it will be tight, bet on a high number, and vice versa. As with most sports, in-play and accumulator betting is also available for snooker.

What is an each-way bet in snooker?

As one of our most popular questions, this deserves its own section. Featuring heavily in our snooker betting tips, an each-way bet is when you get a pay-out so long as your chosen player reaches the tournament’s final. If they reach the final and lose, you’ll receive half your odds, but if they win you’ll receive the full amount.

When do you post your snooker betting tips?

Our snooker predictions are posted on the Friday before each tournament, giving our tipsters enough time to examine potential betting opportunities while also ensuring their predictions are as current as possible.

All of our snooker predictions are fully researched and completely free but we can’t guarantee winners. Please gamble responsibly and visit our responsible gambling guidelines for more information (18+).

Which player should I back to win?

Aside from following our tipsters’ snooker predictions, there are other factors you can take into account when it comes to winning an outright bet. Of course, form tends to be a big indicator of performance, while you might also want to look at fatigue. The snooker season can be punishing, and so those taking a break ahead of a tournament often perform better. It’s also worth looking at how each player tends to perform at a given tournament. Some love Sheffield’s Crucible, for example, while others prefer different stages.
