When do you post your MLS tips?

Our MLS match previews cover every single game and are posted two to three days before each game kicks off. For midweek matches, predictions will be available from Monday evening. When is the MLS season?

The American football season runs from February to October, with the MLS Cup Playoffs taking place from October to November. You can find live MLS tables here, while it’s also worth taking a look at this season’s top scorers.

Which teams are in the MLS?

So, who plays in the American divisions? The following MLS teams will compete in the 2022 season:

Eastern Conference – Atlanta United, Charlotte FC, Chicago Fire, FC Cincinnati, Columbus Crew, D.C. United, Inter Miami, CF Montreal, New England Revolution, New York City FC, New York Red Bulls, Orlando City, Philadelphia Union, Toronto FC.

Western Conference – Austin FC, Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, LAFC, Minnesota United, Nashville SC, Portland Timbers, Real Salt Lake, San Jose Earthquakes, Seattle Sounders, Sporting Kansas City, Vancouver Whitecaps.

What’s the playing style like in America?

Given the size of the US, weather conditions and therefore playing styles vary greatly from team to team. Although a large generalisation, most managers try to copy the fast, physical style of the Premier League. Remember the way the American national team ran themselves into the ground at the 2014 World Cup? Tactics and technical quality can be lacking, but it all makes for an entertaining game of football.

Who has won the MLS Cup most often?

The MLS Cup is played between the winners of the Eastern Conference and Western Conference. LA Galaxy and New York Cosmos have won the league championship most often with five wins each. They are followed by DC United on four titles.
