Phoenix Suns hold a 2-1 lead after three games in the NBA Finals but the momentum is with Milwaukee after their 20-point Game 3 win.

The fourth game takes place in the early hours of Thursday morning and we’ve put together a bet builder as the Bucks look to make the most of home advantage and level the series.

Handicaps

Milwaukee proved far too strong at the Fiserv Forum in the first game of the NBA Finals in Wisconsin and they should be able to secure another big win in Game 4 before the series heads to Phoenix.

The Bucks have a near perfect home record in the postseason with nine wins from 10 games so far.  Their one loss came in the Eastern Conference finals with Atlanta Hawks, and on the balance of play they probably should have won that game but were guilty of poor shooting.

The point spread is set at what looks a fairly modest -4.5 for Milwaukee and we’re going to push this one a bit further and take on the hosts with a -7.5 handicap at a bigger price, as the Bucks have beaten that mark in seven of home games in the playoffs so far.

Best bet: Milwaukee Bucks -7.5 at 6/4

Total points

The 220 points scored in Game 3 was the lowest total scored in the Finals so far and we may well see a higher scoring game in the fourth meeting.  A few Phoenix players fell short at the weekend – notably Devin Booker who managed just 10 points on 3-for-14 shooting – and we should see some reaction from the Suns.

If the Suns raise their game, Milwaukee will too and we’re backing over 221.5 total points – which would have come in in the first two games of the series.

Best bet: Over 221.5 total points at EVS

Giannis Antetokounmpo total points

Milwaukee’s hopes rest on the performances of two-time MVP Giannis Antetekounmkpo and chances are he’ll deliver again after back-to-back 40+ point games.  The Bucks talisman became just the sixth man in NBA history to achieve that feat in a Finals series and after shrugging off what looked to a serious knee injury he has hit some real form in the last two games.

The Suns will have a plan to guard Antetokounmpo and another 40 point game might be a big ask but the high 30s is certainly achievable for the in-form 26-year-old.

Best bet: Giannis Antetokounmpo over 34.5 points at 10/11

Khris Middleton total assists

Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton is yet to really catch fire during the Finals series after some huge displays in the previous round against Atlanta Hawks.

Middleton is probably due a big display, but even if he has another quiet night he has still been weighing in with assists throughout the series and the playoffs in general.  Middleton had six in the last game and has made at least six in his seven of his last 10 appearances, so he should be able to record over 5.5 in Game 4.

Best bet: Khris Middleton over 5.5 assists at 11/10
