Aston Villa vs West Ham player special selections

Michail Antonio to score

We’ve backed Antonio to score in our Aston Villa vs West Ham predictions, with the forward in fantastic form. The forward has seven goals in 10 appearances his season and he’s leading the line incredibly well. With Aston Villa leaking far too many goals at the back of late, expect Antonio to score given that he averages over four shots per game in the Premier League this term.

Jarrod Bowen to make an assist

Bowen has been involved in a goal in four of his last six appearances for the Hammers and he’s a real threat from out wide. We know that Aston Villa’s full-backs like to get forward, but that’s something which Bowen will look to exploit.

Bowen makes 1.7 key passes per game, while he has taken more corners than any other West Ham player. With Aston Villa conceding all of their goals at home via a set-piece, Bowen is a great bet to pop up with an assist.

Pablo Fornals 1+ shots on target

On the other flank Fornals is adept at cutting inside and worrying defenders. Like Bowen he’ll look to get in behind considering Matty Cash likes to get forward, while he’s getting into good areas, averaging 1.4 shots per game from inside the area.

Fornals is also averaging 0.7 shots on target per game across the league and Europa League and we can see him working the goalkeeper at Villa. Back the Spanish international to have at least one shot on target this weekend.

Leon Bailey 1+ shots on target

Bailey has only made one Premier League appearance at Villa Park this season but he managed a shot on target in that debut. He’s expected to get forward against the Hammers from the right-wing and the former Bayer Leverkusen man will likely be a big threat to the visitors, so back him to get a shot on target in this clash.

Declan Rice to be carded

Rice has already picked up three yellow cards this season and the midfielder is averaging 1.6 fouls per league game so far. The Villa midfield will give Rice plenty of headaches this weekend and we’re backing him to end up in the book as a result.
